When was the last time you stared at yourself in the mirror and thank God for giving you everything you need to live?

People, by nature, does have unending wants.  In my 21 years, I know I have been complaining too much with this, with that, with almost everything.  I felt like I was never contented and that I want to strive for more.  

Whenever I see kids asking for coins, disabled knocking on the taxi’s window and elders begging for food, I feel a pinch on my heart.  I am not a stone not to feel pain with their situation and the idea that I am not in the position (or maybe, I am not able) to extend a little comfort in their lives pains me even more.  And so i thought I am not capable of giving them anything, but then, God whispered to me that I was wrong.

Did you even care to utter a small prayer for those unfortunate?  Did it even bother you that while you are spending for expensive clothes, shoes and bags, some are wishing to use that money to satisfy their crumbling stomaches? Please don’t get me wrong.  I don’t have anything against rich people and the luxuries.  

What I’m saying is, you don’t expect the world to be fair - that is, what they have, you’ll have.  Life doesn’t work that way.  But you can do something about that.  If you aren’t able to help them financially, your PRAYER can work wonders.  God isn’t deaf.  He hears even the most silent prayers of a sincere heart.  If you feel in you heart that you can somehow provide financial help, we have various organizations to bridge that for you.  Make a way.  We are able in our most little ways and you wouldn’t know how that small way can mean BIG help for them. 

Stop complaining.  Utter a thanksgiving prayer to God that you are able to wake up, to eat thrice, to relax, to work and to play.  Look at how God has blessed you in ways you tend to overlook.  You are blessed because you are destined to bless others in return.
